Dis We Tings 2011
In 1989 Kayla Lockhart-Edwards and Derek Burrows presented the then Chairman of the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts, Winston V. Saunders an idea for a production that would celebrate all things Bahamian. Saunders liked the idea and engaged Nicolette Bethel to write a script. This production became Dis We Tings. What followed in the years to come was Dis We Tings II and Dis We Tings Contract Voices.
Now years later, Shakespeare in Paradise decided to revive this popular work and have it updated. We engaged Patrice Francis as head writer and she worked with Jonelle and Cherelle Fox, under the supervision of Nicolette Bethel, to bring us the updated Dis We Tings 2011. Shakespeare in Paradise dedicates this production to the memory of Kayla Lockart-Edwards.
