Shakespeare in Paradise’s 10th Season is over!
SiP 2018, our tenth festival, opened on October 1 with the premiere of Short Tales, ten short plays by ten local authors, directed by eight budding directors.
On October 2, Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Erin T. Knowles, opened to student audiences, and on October 3, it welcomed the first members of the public to its evening performance.
Both Short Tales and Much Ado ran for our first week. Much Ado About Nothing closed on October 6. After four sold-out evenings, Short Tales was held over for an extra night, and did a special Sunday evening performance.
On Wednesday October 10, Shakespeare in Paradise launched Der Real Ting Musical!! with a gala premiere performance, followed by three sold-out public performances. Der Real Ting Musical!! also offered four student matinees.
The festival closed on Saturday October 13.
All our houses were very good, and Short Tales and Der Real Ting Musical!! both sold out.
Short Tales will mount one more limited run of three nights from October 26-28.
