Auditions for our Signature Bahamian Production, Out o’ Wedlock, two one-act plays by veteran Bahamian playwright Jeanne I. Thompson, were held this morning at The Hub. We had agreat turnout, with some fantastic readings — the problem now is how to assign the parts! Thanks to everyone who turned out to both auditions, this week and last — and if you weren’t successful, stick around, because there’s always lots to do behind the scenes, and we are always looking for volunteers.
Merchant held its first rehearsal/readthrough this week, this past Wednesday, so work has officially begun for SiP 2012. Never mind that — work has been ongoing full-time since June, and it’s not going to stop till November, so watch these pages.
We’re developing this website. We want to tell you about our various outreaches, such as our Schools Outreach and our Young Artists’ Programme, so watch this space. We will also develop a page for our Play Reading Series too, so bookmark us and come back often!
