Set in 1970’s Nassau, this poignant drama has enthralled audiences and readers alike for over thirty years. Lionel, a young hardworking Haitian, seeks professional success in a country that doesn’t respect him. When he crosses paths with his boss’s daughter Sonia, Lionel’s life is forever changed. To make matters worse, his fiancée crosses paths with Harold – Lionel’s boss – and finds herself caught in his web of promises and lies. Shakespeare in Paradise is pleased to present such a powerful Bahamian drama. The last time this play saw production in a Nassau theatre was in 1995, directed by David Burrows. Burrows returns to direct this production with a diverse cast of veteran and amateur actors.

Who makes up the full cast? I saw Doris from the 1995 production on the T.V. ad and became curious as to who the others were.

Doris is the only repeat from the 1995 production. The other veterans are Tony Roberts and Moya Thompson. Annee Wildgoose from last year returns. Also in the play are Terran Brown, Enith Darling, Tami Forbes and newcomer Eryn Bellot.
